I am a postdoctoral pathologist interested in Neuropathology, Molecular and Autopsy Pathology.
During my residency I was trained in Surgical and Autopsy Neuropathology in the Hospital Clinic-University of Barcelona (Drs. Teresa Ribalta and Susana Boluda) and in the Neurological Tissue Bank of the Biobank (Dr. Ellen Gelpi). I made two stays in the Divisions of Neuropathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore (Drs Peter C. Burger and Fausto J. Rodriguez, two months) and at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital (Dr. Clayton Wiley, two weeks).
Since March 2017 I perform sign-out and research tasks as a specialist in the Pathology Department of CDB-Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, and in the Neurological Tissue Bank of the Biobank-IDIBAPS.
I am also one of the Coordinators of the Autopsy Platform of the Pathology Department, coordinating adult and fetal autopsies, as well as COVID and prion disease autopsies, among others.

My research interests are mainly focused in neuropathology, especially in neurodegenerative diseases and surgical neuropathology.
I am a medical associate professor of the Pathology Unit of the Department of Clinical Foundations of the Faculty of Medicine (Clinic) of the University of Barcelona
